Bio
Julia has her own private music practise teaching singing, piano and musical theatre as well as being a vocal coach and workshop facilitator. She has been involved with music from a very early age.
She has performed as a singer, musical director and an accompanist throughout the UK and has over 25 years experience in teaching both privately in schools, colleges and universities. Other posts include Head of Music, Lecturer on a Life Long Learning Programme at Leicester University, member of a steering committee for a performing arts degree course at Sheffield Hallam University as well as other colleges and performing arts schools and is also patron of a very successful dance school.
Julia has worked on a variety of productions both professional and amateur with young children, operatic groups and drama groups through to large successful companies such as Bill Kenwright. Her work has also given her the opportunity to work and study with:

Julia has coached and taught many students that have gone onto train full time at some of the UK's leading colleges including: Guildford Conservatoire, Laine Theatre Arts, Arts Ed and Liverpool Theatre School, Chichester University just to name a few.

Julia continues to work as a freelance consultant to schools, colleges and corporate companies - giving workshops on the voice, singing, performance skills and team building days. She regularly attends workshops and conferences to extend and keep up to date with the latest research on the voice.
Julia is an Associate of the London College of Music and a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians as well as the British Voice Association - a multi disciplinary body that deals with all aspects of the voice, singing, acting and speaking as well as health and rehabilitation.
